Our first update, from May is here.

We aim to develop and deploy a forensic marketplace strategic plan that enables the delivery of world-leading forensic services, in the right place, at the right time, to meet the requirements of the criminal justice system now and in the future.

Initial work packages

We've established a series of workstreams led by relevant individuals in policing, to ensure they remain rooted in and driven by the forensics community's needs. Our 12 initial work packages are shown below, and we expect them to grow over time to cover all services provided by the forensic marketplace.

The plan has been commissioned, financed and resourced through the TF programme, supported by FCN. It will be overseen by a dedicated project board under T/DCC Paul Gibson, NPCC Lead for the Forensic Marketplace, and will be aligned closely with the existing Forensic Marketplace Portfolio Board. The diagram below shows how we're governed.

Have your say

We'd like to hear from you. We have already shared a questionnaire with physical forensic service providers and will soon seek input from digital suppliers.

We are also speaking with organisations and individuals across the marketplace and wider forensics community, offering regular opportunities for contact and discussion.

If you would like to get involved or have any questions please contact us.
