Reporting to the Head of Digital Forensics, you will be responsible for directing the operational delivery of services across the entire Digital Forensic Portfolio
Reporting to the Head of Forensic Accreditation and Standards, you will be responsible for directing operational Quality, performance, and training activities ensuring effective service delivery to a wide range of customers, including FIU (Forensic Investigation Unit) staff
As a key decision maker, you will drive forward continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the operational performance of the team and its compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator’s Codes.
We see this as an ideal role for those who wish to be a technician, or as a first position for someone who has no previous experience of working in digital forensics but would like to start a career in this area.
This role will manage, maintain, develop and implement the Quality Management system within Forensic Investigations and the broader Force, to ensure high quality standards of forensic service provision and to comply with EU legislation and the Forensic Regulator’s requirements for Forensic Service Providers.
You’ll undertake the forensic examination of MPS scenes of crime, and preserve, record and recover forensic evidence effectively.
GMP has an exciting opportunity for Enhanced Crime Scene Investigators to become part of our Forensic Services Team. Successful applicants will be based in a Crime Scene Investigation Unit on one of our 10 districts
To provide expertise in the recovery and evaluation of forensic and photographic evidence ensuring maximisation of evidential retrieval
Our trained Laboratory technicians undertake a variety of chemical treatments on exhibits retrieved from crime scenes and when required will attend crime scenes to enhance and capture marks utilising specialist light sources.
